The Creative Shift offers creative, reflective workshops that combine visual art, writing, and storytelling to support team wellbeing and boost creative thinking.

The bespoke sessions are designed to help teams pause, reflect, and gain fresh perspectives, leading to stronger, more resilient, and more connected workplaces.

These aren't your average corporate workshops. They're thoughtful, human-centred spaces for creative exploration, tailored to the needs of each team.

    PAUSE

    A guided session using visual art and reflective writing to help slow down and shift out of stress-mode. PAUSE is ideal for burnout recovery, emotional wellbeing, and mindfulness.

    Sessions include:

    Thoughtfully selected visual artwork

    Gentle writing prompts

    Space for personal reflection and journaling

    Optional group sharing and discussion

    60–90 mins | Online or in-person

    Can be booked as one-off sessions but are ideally suited to being booked in as a monthly wellbeing session

    See Differently.

    This session helps teams slow down and look at things from a different perspective. Using visual prompts and guided writing, SHIFT encourages mindfulness, perspective-shifting, and deeper interpersonal connection.

    A curated artwork or image to spark discussion

    Writing prompts

    Story-based exercises

    Visual journaling or mind-mapping

    Spark Creative Confidence

    An energising session designed to boost creative confidence and flexible thinking. UNLOCK uses playful, structured exercises, rooted in storytelling and visual thinking, designed to encourage innovation and experimentation.

    Sessions can be tailored to your needs but might include:

    Creative warm-ups

    Image-based storytelling challenges

    Guided creative writing around innovation or risk

    Group storytelling or co-writing games

    Ideal for team away days.

    90 mins – Half-day | Online or in-person

Why Now?

Since I was given a diary for my 11th birthday, I’ve known that writing offers a safe space for finding clarity, processing ideas, and experimenting creativity. Research consistently demonstrates that reflective writing and journaling can help people process emotions, shift perspectives, and build emotional resilience.

About me

I’m Joanna Wolfarth, a writer, educator and art historian with a PhD in Southeast Asian Art.

I’ve taught university courses, published widely in nonfiction, and led creative workshops for women, creatives, and professionals across sectors.

I created The Creative Shift for teams and leaders seeking depth, not distraction.
